Oh hi! Gosh, I swear I had posted this update for you all, but now I know I didn’t. Oops! Here we are though; it’s happening! Francisco needed a blog all for himself to give you the latest scoop:
Francisco has been my biggest lesson learned — or learning lesson rather, because I’m still learning as I go along. My dream bag has put me through the ringer and back as I try to launch it. Francisco was an idea, then a sketch, then a series of frustrated sighs of disappointment as my dreams weren’t translating well to reality. You’d laugh if you saw the sad pieces of samples I was delivered along the way to finding perfection for you. I mean, I cried, obviously… But I persisted. Similar to the Kat & Katherine cases, I wanted to find a reliable high quality manufacturer who met my design requirements. I thought I found it, and hit a hiccup, which has caused some manufacturing delays. The good news is that this means I’m continuing to improve the piece and ensuring nothing but perfection for you!
I launched a crowdsourcing campaign for Francisco, but our hiccup + the campaign timeframe has shifted the schedule right. I’ve got solid confidence that Francisco will knock your socks off. I would be doing all of you a disservice if I didn’t do my due diligence to make sure of that! The two-month campaign launched late November, and just funded. Manufacturing and logistics adds another 2.5-3 months to the process. All in all, please trust that you are going to receive the best quality products, and I am trying to make them available to you as soon as I can! I would rather delay the process to achieve perfection rather than disappoint my customers with any quality issues. Thank you for being part of this process. I love all of you and I want you to rest assured that I am working tirelessly to bring Francisco to you!
