Progress

It’s about time I update everyone on progress of moxie+verve. It seems like just yesterday that I made the decision to launch this business. Wow! Time flies! This has been a dream of mine for a long time. I had the idea to create this perfectly lux everything bag, and my mind kept working, planning out other clever designs, not really knowing if I could make this dream a reality. I remember my first conversation with my luggage designer mentor when I first started looking into manufacturing Francisco. He asked me, “Are you just bored and looking for a hobby?…” He didn’t want to waste his time or mine because, let’s be honest, not everyone’s ideas come to fruition when the going gets hard. He asked a very valid question: Am I bored hobbyist? Or will I take this to the next level? Will I take my lashings from lessons learned and persist through tough situations? Do we turn every idea into a business? Of course not! Who has time for that? But I KNEW I didn’t want this goal to go into the pile of lost ideas. I wanted to make this happen! And it’s getting close!

I have had the most wonderful support from so many friends and family. Even more shocking to me, is the support from so many people who don’t know me personally. Like, wow! You believe in me too!? THANK YOU! It’s a very humbling experience! I don’t want to let any of you down!

This company was born with the idea of Francisco, my everything bag, but as most of you may already know, I’m also a freelance makeup artist and a Maskcara Beauty Artist affiliate. Carrying my makeup & essentials in a million different totes and bags became frustrating and unprofessional. So, I got to work again! I needed a solution for a makeup travel case. Enter the Katherine and Kat travel cases: brilliantly designed cases with modular EVA dividers to carefully store all makeup and skincare, both personally and professionally. I knew I had to share these designs with others. No detail was overlooked when I meticulously reviewed them! The small case is perfect for everyday travelers, and the large case is the ideal carrying companion for makeup artists, avid makeup enthusiasts, home health professionals, or for anyone’s weekend getaways.

Enough about the designs though Kat, WHERE ARE THEY!? Of course, perfection takes time, friends! I set out to find the most reliable manufacturer who could guarantee their workmanship. I worked with them on customizing the bag to have all the high quality details I knew my customers deserved and placed the initial order after months of testing out my sample pieces after assessing what worked and what needed to change. This whole process has been over a year in the making. Whoa! I did it. It’s happening. Now, I’m sure for some of you, my most favorite amazing supportive customers who ordered when I first announced the prelaunch order, might be thinking the same thing: COOL STORY DUDE, BUT WHERE ARE THEY?!

I’m happy to report that Kat and Katherine are done being manufactured will soon be delivered to moxie+verve headquarters (that sounds way better than ‘my house’, ha). My goal is to get them in your hands before Thanksgiving. So long as there are no major hiccups, it should happen. I have every intention of making them available as soon as possible for those looking for perfect Christmas gifts for family and friends. Thank you so much for all your patience! I know you will be very happy with the results and am just as anxious as you (if not more) to get these into your hands!
